Top 10 Weirdest Star Wars Products

By Kat
Staff Writer

SWBookzone.com explores the bizarre side of the Star Wars merchandising galaxy by counting down the Top 10 Weirdest Star Wars Products that you can buy.

Darth Vader Trick-or-Treat Pail   10. Darth Vader Trick-or-Treat Pail

Certainly any kid toting a Darth Vader Trick-or-Treat Pail on Halloween deserves an, "Impressive, most impressive." But what if the kid is dressed like Darth Vader and was carrying the Darth Vader pail? Is it possible to have too much of a good thing?

Darth Tater Potato Head   9. Mr. Potato Head (Darth Tater)

Kids love Star Wars. Kids love Mr. Potato Head. Darth Tater brings fans of all ages the best of both worlds. Also look for: Artoo-Potatoo, Spud Trooper, Spuda Fett, Darth Mash, Yam Solo, Luke Frywalker, and Princess Tater.

George Lucas Family Action Figures   8. George Lucas Family Action Figure Set

The George Lucas Family Action Figure Boxed set features action figure versions of George Lucas and his kids. Each member of the Lucas clan had a cameo role in Revenge of the Sith. Also worth checking out is the George Lucas Stormtrooper Disguise action figure.

Star Wars Poker Chip Set   7. Star Wars Poker Chip Set

The Star Wars Poker Chip Set may bring new meaning to Qui-Gon Jinn's statement, "Whenever you gamble, my friend, eventually you'll lose."

Yoda Slippers   6. Yoda slippers

Remember those adorable Garfield slippers that people would trapse around in? Same deal, except these Star Wars-themed ones feature the lovable Jedi Master Yoda. They have a Darth Vader version too (not quite as lovable or cuddly, but still fun).

Clone Cookie Jar Star Wars   5. Star Wars Clone Cookie Jar

"Come to the dark side...we have cookies." I read that slogan on a T-shirt once. The Star Wars Clone Cookie Jar takes sure takes that phrase to the next level.

Star Wars Cookbook   4. The Star Wars Cookbook

Looking for tasty Star Wars-themed treats? The Star Wars Cookbook contains recipes for everything from Darth Side Salsa, to Obi-Wan Kebabs, to Wookiee Cookies. In true Star Wars fashion there's even a sequel: Star Wars Cookbook II: Darth Maul and More Galactic Recipes.

Transformers Darth Vader/Death Star   3. Star Wars Transformers Darth Vader

Perhaps not as commonly known as #9 Mr. Potato Head (Darth Tater), Transformers Darth Vader/Death Star seems to be yet another match made in marketing heaven. In 25 steps, Darth Vader can be transformed into the Death Star. More than meets the eye indeed.

Darth Vader Pet Costume   2. Darth Vader Pet Costume

You've always thought Fido had a little dark side in him, considering his late night howling, chewing up the furniture and chasing the mailman. Now Fido can sport dark side attire that reflects his dark side tendencies. Aww, who am I kidding--that picture is adorable! Strange...but adorable.

Yoda Backpack Buddy   1. Yoda Backpack Buddy

The Yoda Backpack Buddy takes the crown for pure asthetic silliness and awesomness. A passerby will definitely make a double take, if you're brave enough to carry the Jedi Master on your back in public.

Tauntaun Sleeping Bag   HONORABLE MENTION: Tauntaun Sleeping Bag

The Tauntaun Sleeping Bag would have easily garnered the number one spot on this list, had the item been real. ThinkGeek.com developed the gag product listing as an April Fool's Day prank in 2009.

Due to an overwhelming response to the sleeping bag, the website is now trying to actually bring the product to life. According to ThinkGeek, "We have no clue if the suits at Lucasfilms will grant little ThinkGeek a license, nor do we know how much it would ultimately retail for."
